A selection of research, prototypes, and technical explorations—from collaborative XR research to a custom-skinnable macOS media player.
iCarus — A Skinnable Media Player
A SwiftUI macOS media player inspired by the expressive, customizable era of Windows Media Player skins. The project separates playback functionality from skin presentation, with support for custom visual styles, audio visualization, and equalizer controls.

Shared-Gaze Visualization in Augmented Reality
Investigating how shared visual attention can support communication and collaboration in colocated AR tasks.
EMG-Based Interface for Virtual Reality
A VR training environment exploring EMG-controlled prosthetic interaction and task performance.
Augmented Reality Task Guidance
Designing adaptive, multimodal guidance for complex tasks informed by user needs and contextual inquiry.
Multimodal Affect Detection
Exploring audio-visual machine learning methods for affect classification and efficient feature extraction.
Mandelbrot Explorer
An interactive fractal playground built with JavaScript and HTML Canvas. Zoom into the boundary, select regions, experiment with color maps, and export your own render.

I’m Daniel Delgado, a computer scientist and UX researcher interested in how people communicate, collaborate, and make sense of interactive systems.
I earned my PhD in Computer Science from the University of Florida in 2025. My research examined shared-gaze visualizations and collaboration in augmented reality, combining interaction design, experimental methods, prototyping, and quantitative analysis.
My work spans research and implementation: from studying user needs and evaluating experiences to building prototypes and investigating the systems behind them.
